For the past year or so I was always having a problem with my wifi always not working and changed to an ethernet cable which fixed my problem, well recently I decided to go back to wifi and bought myself an adapter (Linksys Wusb6100M to be specific) it works fine while it is connected but has trouble staying connected, sometimes it will dissconnect from the internet and never connect back, I would check event viewer and it would say that it is resetting cause it has stopped responding to commands and would continuously do that, and when I try to reset my computer it would be stuck in an infinite loop of being reset and wouldnt go anywhere, I would have to hard power off the computer. I would then check device manager on the adapter and qould say that no drivers are installed which is odd.
I have tried many things such as command prompt, power saving options, the driver is up to date, etc. I am currently running on Windows 11. I have even uninstalled and installed the device many, many times to no avail.
Unfortunately I tried all the solutions and this still did not fix my issue, it did for a bit. But whenever I would try to download an update for something and it was using almost 20 MB the adapter would stop working and would never come back, which would result in me having to hard power off my computer
I'll give you everything that works to fix Wifi so that at least something will work. Even if you've already tried a step please try or check it again in sequence. If you need any assistance I'll be standing by here to help:
System Restore is your first line of defense and can take you back to a point before a problem began like a time machine. If it doesn't help then you can undo it. Read about it first in the tutorial above and then try restoring to just before this started. If System Restore is not enabled on C drive do that now so it's available in the future.
If the problem repeats or System Restore doesn't work then check which Windows Updates were installed at Settings > Update & Security > Windows Updates > Update History, uninstall them there or System Restore again, then immediately check for and block the Updates with the Hide Updates tool explained here: -hide-s...
Compare the latest drivers available for download with the ones presently installed in Device Manager reached by right clicking the Start Menu. Make sure you have the latest BIOS or UEFI firmware, Chipset, Display (Video), Sound, USB3, Bluetooth, Network and all other drivers, or else download and install the latest now.
If you have the latest network driver then try on it's Driver tab also to Roll Back, or Uninstall and then restart PC to reinstall the driver. Try also all older drivers from Update Driver > Browse > Let Me Pick list working backwards.

Hello. Ever since I had installed Windows 7 32-bit onto my PC, the wifi dongle has stopped working, well that's what windows thinks. It says their are no drivers found, so I cannot access the Internet with my wifi dongle. It is just a regular wifi dongle, no manufacturer, no nothing.
