Hello everyone, I recently uploaded some images from Fortinet on my eve-ng, however, it turns on and seconds later it turns off, has anyone had this problem? I have other images that work from Cisco etc.
hi @AndreRicardo.Since it is the other vendor integration, I would suggest to contact Eve-ng support for more detail. I also found this document -ng.net/index.php/documentation/howtos/howto-add-fortinet-images/. This may be help.

The Fortinet Security Fabric brings together the concepts of convergence and consolidation to provide comprehensive cybersecurity protection for all users, devices, and applications and across all network edges.
Cisco SD-WAN is a major topic in the CCE Enterprise blueprint now. Network engineers that want to pass the lab exam should have extensive hands-on experience with the solutions. However, for people who do not have the chance to touch it at work, it is actually not easy to get access to a practice lab. In this lesson, I will show you one way to set up a fully functional Cisco SD-WAN home lab on EVE-NG that can be used to practice every topic in the exam's blueprint.
One thing I'd like to mention is that Cisco SD-WAN requires a lot of processing power. For a small practicing topology consisting of 1 controller of each type and 3-4 vEdges, you should give the EVE-NG VM at least 8 vCPUs and 16GB of RAM. However, if you want to make a large topology with redundant controllers and many vEdge devices, you must have a lot of computing resources at your disposal.
Once you have the images, you need to create a folder for each one and then transfer the image to EVE-NG using a FileZilla or WinSCP tool. After you upload the images to their respective folders in EVE-NG, you need to convert the ova files to qcow2. Note that we need to create an additional virtual disk for vManage. This is done with the command highlighted in green:
The physical topology that we are going to use is as follows. You should re-create it on EVE-NG. If you want to copy/paste some of the configs, make sure that you use the same interfaces when creating the topology on EVE-NG.
You have to decide how many vEdge devices you are going to need and add them in the same manner as vEdge-1. The process of building the lab starts with Cisco SD-WAN version 16.3.2. Once you upgrade to the higher versions you won't be able to add more vEdges.
Default credentials for all devices are admin/admin. When vManage boots for the first time, it will ask on which storage device to install the software. Please make sure to use the virtual disk you have created in the previous step.
Once all devices boot up it is time to enable basic connectivity between the controllers and all WAN edge devices. The following bootstrap snippets are the minimum required configuration in order to achieve basic connectivity.
At this point, each device should successfully ping any other in VPN0. If for whatever reason there is no reachability to one of the devices, you should not continue ahead but troubleshoot and resolve the issue.
Cisco SD-WAN Controllers can not be brought into operation unless their identity is validated by an established chain of trust. This identity validation process is intended to ensure that only trusted devices can join the SD-WAN solution while still retaining flexibility. Each controller must have a root certificate installed and a controller certificate installed and signed by a trusted CA (Certification Authority).
Configure vBond to act as a root of trust. The first step is to generate an RSA private key. Then we generate a ROOTCA.pem certificate and sign it with the ROOTCA.key private key that we have just created.

We have been a partner with Vectric on development of the new laser module for a couple of years now and we are happy to say they have released the new version. This new module will allow several new features in Vectric products to make it more compatible with our laser upgrade kits. In the past, we have been using Vectric with our lasers and post processors, but it has never been fully integrated.
The GRBL_mm and the GRBL_inch post processors included in 10.5 versions of Aspire, V Carve, and Cut2D will work with GRBL machines with version 1.1f or higher firmware. We will present the new post processors here.
I cannot find a way to set the laser x,y zero when using vcarve desktop. I need to be able to power the laser on very low but the only option I can find is using the switch on the Fourth Generation Laser Driver, but that seems to be 100% power and burns the object. What am I missing?
I set up the onefinity post processor listed under software on your website into vcarve. It did not work for the onefinity elite. I eventually found an old PP post on onefinity and it somewhat worked but I have to change my file name to NC everytime from GCode. Is there a PP for onefinity elite to work with the jtech 24w laser?
The laser module in vectric is quite decent for engraves in my opinion, i just find the lack of z control when using that irritating. And maybe it is there and im overlooking it. It just drives me nuts to not have a feature i liked be implemented with their main laser control scheme. I have 11.0 I think? And Lightburn is still faster with my settings, particularly when an image has lots of white space.
The preview option in lightburn is invaluable. It is way better than the preview in vectric where lasers are concerned. For a laser heavy project it may well be a deciding factor. Its hard to fix screw ups on laser projects. Both have good image modification, although i prefer doctoring vectors in vectric, lightburn might actually do a slightly better job tracing images, especially where there are lots of gradients. Lightburn also has many more options for output types and five zillion methods of dithering and rastering and what not.
Is 3rd party software, i.e., Lightburn or the Vectric Laser Module, required when using the Jtech Pro 7w with the Onefinity? If so, do either of these packages outperform, or have any advantages over the other? Looks like the Vectric option is $49 as an add-on to Vcarve Pro and Lightburn is $40. Trying to get my head around this.
I have trial to lightburn currently because the crowd says it has greater capabilities. I am still researching the vetric module, but keeping it as an option. I have Vcarve pro but like that I can use lightburn on Mac without needing parallels.
Roger, I would like to know how Lightburn can speed up a laser burn any faster than VCarvePro when it is the power of the Jtech laser that limits the speed and depth of burn. VCarvePro can run it at any speed you like but the depth and darkness of burn lightens as you go faster. I run all my burns at 100% power and only adjust the speed to get the desired result.
I am using the Vectric Laser module addon with my laser beam. Does anyone know where to get the laser post processor to enter into the tool database in Vcarve pro? I installed the Vectric Laser module and when I create a design in Vcarve pro the only option I have are Laser 3.8W or Laser 6W. As I understand it the Sienci Laser Beam is a 7W laser.
I have VC pro & the laser addon & just use the GRBL mm post processor (GBRL inch works also). It is laser enabled. Works fine. I also made up a series of tools in the Vcarve tool database that reflect each of the dip switch settings for the Sienci laser.With regards to using the Vectric laser addon I find it fine for doing vectors but for graphics I mostly use Lightburn.
