I recently changed to a dual PC setup and am now routing audio and video to the secondary PC.(using duplicate these displays in display settings) Every resolution setting is set to 1920x1080 on both PC's as well as in games. When I launch a any game in full screen mode windows resolution changes dramatically, icons, task bar mouse and all get HUGE. I've been trying for weeks to resolve this issue but no matter what I try nothing fixes this issue, and it is seriously getting on my nerves as when I launch or tab out of a game my entire PC chokes up for a few seconds and sometimes fully gets stuck on a black screen and am unable to get out of it without power cycling the pc. I've even tried ripping out graphic drivers and installing them fresh, repairing windows files via command prompt sfc scannow and I have been avoiding refreshing windows as I don't want to unless I absolutely have to. I've even tried asking on other platforms such as reddit and have received no responses. I really hope someone on here can help me with this as it even reduces my overall pc performance and I cant stand the regular FPS drops/stutters. It sounds like the issue you're experiencing is related to the scaling settings in Windows 10. When you launch a game in full screen mode, Windows 10 automatically changes the scaling settings to make everything appear larger on the screen, which can cause the issues you're describing.

Scaling is already set to 100% and I have made sure of it. Additionally when I switch to not duplicating and only show on 1 in display settings this issue no longer occurs. So I'm guessing its something with duplicating the video for the capture card and I don't know how I would fix that either. But I've made sure not to ever use scaling and I always disable full screen optimizations on all games as I always tweak system settings for games to get the highest FPS I possibly can get.

so i have to reduce my FPS by more than half to be able to fix the issue i have an 144hz monitor and my gpu maintains the fps fairly well and really dont want to drop my fps limit to 60 or is that the only possible fix for this issue?

Hi! Looking for some help with this issue. Recently I've been having an issue with FIFA 25 not getting passed the personal settings screen without the image going completely dark.
